A friend of mine told me- no, INSISTED, that this poll would result in MASSIVE STONKS.
...I am still highly skeptical of these claims.

Back when I first began uploading NSFW art onto the internet, I never really put much thought into my future as an online artist. I just made it 'cause I was a horny sum' bitch who naively thought it make me popular. I mean it worked for other artists who made similar art, so why wouldn't it work for me, right? It wasn't until last night while discussing on the Newgrounds forums that someone put into words what I had been feeling for months now.
"Your art is.... there, for sure but cartoon butts and fanart aren't exactly making you stick out."
This sentiment left by one user really made me stop and think about what I was doing. It wasn't even all that harsh, but the fact that no one has ever stopped to challenge me on what I've been drawing these past few years has left me complacent. Not that it's ever really anyone's fault here, buuuuut...let's just say there's a reason I have over 1000 followers on Deviantart compared to my Newgrounds and Bluesky's combined total of 288 followers. (I'll let you take a guess why that's the case.)
With that being said, it's about time I finally take action on what I've really been wanting to do ever since I learned how to make art. So let me lay out what my game plan will be going forward:
It's been a fun journey so far being lil' ol' me, but if I actually want to take being an artist seriously, I gotta put my money where my mouth is and prove it.
A couple years ago, I learned to love making art. Now, I'm learning to love taking criticism. Obviously, I've gotta be specific on what I want criticism for, but know that I will be asking for it more often in my art. After all, art is but an elaborate illusion. If I ain't convincing anyone, then am I really doing my job right?
Alright, that's all from the Cheese Man for now. Cheers!

There are those days where you stop and reevaluate what you're doing with your life. Days where you mull over your past decisions and if you even made the right choices or not. Some people would hesitate before making their next decision.
I, however, am not one of those people. I just keep on drawing 'cause it's fun.

Also in hindsight, idk why I keep making these polls rated E for Everyone when I'm clearly gonna be drawing r34 of these characters. Should be rated M for Mature at least.

I hate to admit this, but I genuinely fear I might be liable to suffering from art burnout soon.
It may not look like it, but I've been working on a ton of different art pieces outside of what I post online here. Between animations, birthday art for friends, attempting to keep up with my personal projects, and the weekend polls ON TOP of it all? It's getting a wee bit too much for me at the moment.
So, what does that mean for all of you?
Well, the only important change I'm making to my schedule are the polls. Them being at the end of every week used to be managable back when I didn't have much going on and I could bang out way more drawings for you guys. I'm changing that now to hosting a poll at the end of every other week. Both to give myself more breathing room to plan things out as well as not having to rush out the art for them so quickly. I may have the spirit, but I gotta know my limits.
Besides that, I'll be taking a short break from art for the time being. At most, it'll be a week depending on how I feel. Hopefully none of this will be a problem for you guys, right?
Thanks to all of you for understanding. I absolutely wanna keep making art and animations for you folks, but a Cheese Man's gotta have his R & R, y'know? No poll this week, by the way, just so you guys know.
